Publications
Numismatists are fond of their slogan "buy the book before the coin." At Gallery Mint Museum, we say "write and publish the book before buying the coin." We are dedicated to collecting and publishing articles, monographs and books relating to minting history, minting technology, engraving, engravers, and other related subjects. We currently are working on several publishing projects of interest to our supporters. These include the publishing of a "Glossary" of minting terms and obtaining the copyright to republish one of the industry's standard textbooks. We also hope to establish a refereed journal that expands our Mission Statement by promoting and preserving the numismatic arts. Finally, we are building a reference library of books and publications relating to the history of minting. Donors and supporters are actively being sought in all of these areas.
